Based on a poll conducted by the ANU Australian Electoral Study in 2016 over 52.5% people voted in favour of having an Australian head of state. If the public is ready for a change why isn’t the government? In order to move forward as a country and become a fully independent nation we need to have an Australian as our head of state instead of someone living on the other side of the world.
