There are several key similarities and differences between the Magna Carta and the Australian Constitution, I shall state them below. There are several obvious differences like the year they were made, language it was written it, who wrote it etc. I will not state these for obvious reasons. Some key similarities are that they are both some sort of constitution. A constitution is: A body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed. Although only one of its many clauses still exist, the impact it has had on our society today is massive. In case you were wondering what the clause was that still exists is basically that “Every free man shall have the same rights.” Back then it did barely anything because most people were peasants under a Knight so they did not fit under that law, nowadays it has a huge impact.
