This research will be about a hunger strike that Theresa Spence started on December 11, 2012 as a result of a breach of duty on the part of the federal government in relation to First Nation people. She required a meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada and leaders of indigenous peoples of Canada to discuss a treaty on the rights of First Nations. The goal of her protest was to attract attention to the problems of First Nations. She required a meeting with the Premier Minister and leaders of First Nations to discuss an attitude to Indigenous people. She rejected any attempts to persuade her to stop a hunger strike and continued fasting even when Prime Minister agreed to a meeting, and it was announced on January 4, 2013. As a result, the Premier Minister agreed to talk with leaders and change agreements between Canada and First Nations because it's important have peace between people.
This protest has received a lot of attention, and it has been discussed and shown in many media sources. It is fair to say that the opinions are divided. Many people expressed their support and considered this protest inspiration. Despite this, there were a lot of criticism and disagreement.
