Epics have come from many years ago. Epic stories are large, stories that must be subdivided. People today still read epic stories. An epic is also centered upon a hero. The character’s, plot, and theme all come together to make Star Wars: A New Hope an epic. The epic is based on Luke and other characters, great achievements and events.
In Star Wars: A New Hope, Luke Skywalker, son of a Jedi, shows bravery by risking himself to save Princess Leia. Luke and other characters showed selflessness and loyalty by risking himself getting killed to go destroy the Death Star. The character's bravery, loyalty, and selflessness determine the fate of their people because if it was not for Luke and the other characters risking themselves the people would still be in danger.
The setting and plot make Star Wars: A New Hope an epic because of the major events that happen at the Death star, such as Luke risking life to destroy it.
