A study in Australia confirmed that there is lack of knowledge about the symptoms related to ovarian cancer amongst women population [16]. Symptoms such as abdominal bloating, abdominal pain from the symptoms of ovarian cancer listed it is clear that they overlap with symptoms of other diseases. This has caused a challenge for physician [17], to distinguish ovarian cancer from other cancers or diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal disease since the symptoms are the same [14]. In a survey done in UK symptoms of abdominal swelling, bloating and pelvic pain were the most common complain but these are the same symptoms also given by patients with gastrointestinal problems thus the reason why a significant number of women with ovarian cancers are initially referred to other specialists [14]. The current observation may suggest that to diagnose the ovarian cancer, equal importance should be given to abdominal, gastrointestinal, and constitutional symptoms
