Mrs. Mallard grieves and then begins to feel revived. A sense of freedom comes over her. She is young and excited for the future. Louise welcomes the ability to live life the way she wants to. In society, people are expected to act a certain way to certain events. If people don’t act a certain way they are judged negatively. Mrs. Mallard needed to be alone so she could work through the news and reflect on life in general in her own way. I find it interesting how quickly emotions are experienced and in the blink of an eye are gone. Life and death are mysteries that we will never fully understand. Life is short and filled with many thoughts and emotions, which can at times be overwhelming. From this story I gathered that we need to live life for ourselves and we need to find happiness where we
