My great-grandfather enlisted in the second world war instead of completing high school, although he is now in his early nineties he is still very clear-minded and able to hold a conversation despite being hard of hearing. I have found in my discussions with him and his elderly friends that he believes whatever he is told by the media or even by his next door neighbor, as long as what they say verifies his long held beliefs.
