Based on my beliefs, values, and experiences, I think the most important thing a counselor does during a professional counseling session is to be trustworthy. The first thing counselors should have their clients do it fill out and sign a confidentially form before a client begin their sessions. Counselors need to form a trusting bond with their clients.
