Being supportive in a group is very important. Many members look for support in a group, and loves if there other group members or therapists being supportive to them. “It is important, therefore, to identify anxiety problems early as this will help people to understand the disorder” (Williams, 2014, p.190). “It is also allow them to at the benefits of initiating group therapy in primary care to provide peer support to people with anxiety disorders gain access to support” (Williams, 2014, p. 190). Spirituality is a way to foster and personal growth in the group session (Devlin &Sink, 2011, p. 130). According to the author Brandt, “recent studies have shown that religion is of great importance for many people suffering from psychosis” ( Brandt, Mohr, Gilleron, Rieben, & Huguelet, 2012, p. 194). “Spirituality may even play a key role in psychological recovery from severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia” ( Brandt, Mohr, Gilleron, Rieben, & Huguelet, 2012, p. 194). Spirituality is a important role in counseling. Some individuals believes that God can relieve their mental disorders. Many people read the bible and prayed to God to relieve their symptoms. The bible insights can deepen, clarify, and correct our understandings (Keith, 2010, p.321). Some individuals also doesn’t believe in God at all, and wish that God shouldn’t be mention in the group session. If this happened in your group session, asked the group members if he or she wants to be drawn out from the discussion spirituality.
In ethical issues in spirituality, there are some challenges facing in the spirituality. For example, euthanasia is a topic that is face in spirituality and medical illness.
