On Aug. 29, drone regulations changed for everyone in the US when the Federal Aviation Administration regulation titled Part 107 took effect. These new rules made it easier for businesses to use drones but also regulated some aspects of drone usage by the public. These rules are fairly simple and easy to understand. The majority of drone hobbyists will only be required to follow a few extra guidelines. Drones Must Fly Below 400 Feet While technically the FAA had rules against flying above 400 feet before now, that rule was a 1981 advisory covering model airplanes.…

3D Robotics, meanwhile, offers the drone for $799.95 by itself, $999.95 if you would like the gimbal with it. We think it 's pretty obvious which one is the better deal. One specification we immediately noticed that DJI 's drones lacked was how much the drone could carry. The Solo can handle payloads of up to 800 grams, which is a little over 1.5 lbs. However, this cuts its top speed from 20 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour.…

    NASA Space Regulation

Since the glory days of the American space program are long past, the role of the National Aeronautic and Space Administration should pivot — from space exploration to space regulation. In particular, private companies — not NASA — should undertake the exploration of space and NASA should oversee these ventures, much as another federal agency, the FAA, oversees private aviation. Private space companies would go through rigorous tests and monitoring period and at a certain point be 'cleared ' for space travel with humans. This would be very successful because competition drives down prices, and the more companies there are, the cheaper it would be to go to space. Also, this oversight would allow NASA to discover more and do more, due to the…

This concept of Uber is called as Uber Elevate. Uber Elevate is expected to be operated in a fixed wing, tilt rotor aircraft and they are expected to take off from the helipads not from the space-hungry runways then they swing their wings to the thousand feet up for the efficient level flight. Using many little rotors instead of the big one will cut down the noise. Uber also has many capable partners; they may help uber in achieving this objective. NASA flew its GL-10 greased lightning with 10 motors last year, for the first time.…

Almost all commercial aircraft that are currently in service are capable of piloting themselves via their onboard computers while the pilots are reduced to being overseers and only assume control typically in the case of an onboard emergency. Civilian, personal use UAVs, manufactured by companies in the US, China, France, and Britain are readily available in the market for a few hundred dollars. These are mostly used for hobby flying and aerial photography, however, the sheer availability and affordability of these platforms have caused concerns among the public. Weighing anywhere from 5-25 lbs, these UAVs, if improperly handled, can cause serious damage to property as well as pose as a serious collision threat to commercial aircraft. These "ready to fly" UAVs could also be used to transport illicit substances such as drugs, explosives, chemically, radiologically, and biologically hazardous materials with relative ease.…
