I made my website using Microsoft PowerPoint. I used a sky blue background to simulate the color of the sky and gray boxes for text to indicate clouds. The top of each page has a bar that contains buttons that are linked to the various pages of the website. There is also a picture of a DJI Phantom 3 drone that I got from the DJI website. In addition to using hyperlinks to move within the website, I also used some hyperlinks that are linked to other websites. The news section on the main menu contains news from CBS News. For the “Drones” page I used pictures to show off the DJI Phantom 4, the Parrot AR Drone, and the DJI Inspire 1. The pictures came from the DJI website for the DJI drones and the Parrot website for the AR Drone. The weather page had two color coded boxes for the wind and precipitation. There is a picture of the sun and clouds I used that came from “www.edupics.com.” On the FAA …show more content…

Also, the coloring of the website was found to be very dull and boring making the students not really look at the website in much detail because it did not catch their eye. Along with color, font size was also a big issue, some students said that the text was hard to read because it was so small. The appearance of the website plays a big role in getting people interested in the website. The largest issue we saw with the website was the information presented was minimal. First, the list of churches that are involved in this organization was not provided although there is a link that is shown to lead you…

The presentation and credibility of an online website goes a long way on showing whether or not it is reliable for information. There are many different criteria to look for in a reliable website including appearance, organization, and credibility. The website I evaluated for my topic of choice was WashingtonPost.com. The party that I chose to evaluate was the Illinois Green Party. I chose to evaluate this website because I wanted to see how a 3rd party would match up to the Democratic and Republican pages. At first glance, the page does seem to be a little outdated, however it was much better than I anticipated. Because the Green Party is a lesser known party, I expected a late 90s themed website that was hard to navigate. On the homepage there were links for people to get involved with the party, as well as places to donate.…

Webpage Comparison of Lake Land College and Parkland College People always say “the first impression is everything”. This is true when it comes to the first impression colleges make on their students as well. The first impression every college has on its students is more than likely what the student sees on the college’s webpage. With that being said, every college should want its webpage to outshine all of its competitor’s webpages, so the students can have a good impression of what the college is like. After comparing Lake Land College and Parkland College’s webpage, it is found that Lake Land College’s webpage, for the most part, is better than Parkland College’s webpage.…

A drone is any unmanned aircraft that one can program or they can be autonomous. These robots often use GPS technology to be more accurate when preforming a task. Additionally, in most states an individual must receive a certificate of authorization from the FAA before using drones for any purpose other than recreational. The Federal Government uses drones to make citizens lives safer and easier by monitoring wild fires, supporting law enforcement, and training the military. However, the demand for consumer drones is increasing rapidly due to the FAA Modernization and Reform act, which is a four-year plan to introduce new aviation technology into our government, causes many people to question the drone’s nature within our country (FAA Modernization…

The first website I evaluated was titled Wonderopolis. I would say Wonderopolis is a reliable resource; the reason why I say this is because when you read the “about section”, you can notice right away all the awards and recognitions Wonderopolis has. This proves that it is a trusted and credible website. Wonderopolis was created in October 2010, and is still a functioning website. It does not seem to have a specific audience target but I would assume is mostly used for elementary and middle school.…
