It bothers me that there is a group of people that knows everything yet we only get told what they want us to know. The two main articles I will discuss are “Open to Inspection” by Lewis H. Lapham and “Rise of the Drones” by Rudolph Herzog.…

This drone was very special because it was made for the man who attacked the twin towers. The drones that were flown before 2002 were unarmed drones and didn’t have a positive effect on anything they got. The scenario I chose to do my speech on is the Drone Regulation. My thesis I decided to use is, “Drones should be legalized in the United States.” This topic I showed the most interest in, and I believe that I have a good thesis statement. One concept from Rothwell in Chapter 15 is that it states, “Highlighting similarities in positions, values, and attitudes also encourages identification (451).” My thesis will show similarity between some people and they will agree with me.…

To think that the telephone was invented in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell is mind-boggling, right? Today, in 2018, the technology is becoming so advanced that scientists are even creating artificial embryos. At the University of Cambridge in the UK, embryologists have developed mouse embryos using only stem cells (“You'll Want to Keep an Eye on These 10 Breakthrough Technologies This Year”). The Ethics of Drone Warfare The first recorded use of attack drones occurred on July 15, 1849. The setup for these drones was simple; a balloon attached to a basket would carry a bomb, the attackers would then calculate how much air the balloon needed to reach the desired destination. After that, these early UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) would be sent off to cause destruction. In my opinion, this method seems childish, but this elementary design has helped shape how war is carried out today.…

The advantage of law enforcement using drones helps law enforcement to stay one step ahead of the bad guys, keeping the general public safe, and the community safe. Spotting marijuana fields on the ground is nearly impossible, but spotting these areas from the air is easier than starting a car. A drone is any unmanned aircraft that one can program or they can be autonomous. These robots often use GPS technology to be more accurate when preforming a task. Additionally, in most states an individual must receive a certificate of authorization from the FAA before using drones for any purpose other than recreational. However, the demand for consumer drones is increasing rapidly due to the FAA Modernization and Reform act, which is a four-year plan to introduce new aviation technology into our government, causes many people to question the drone’s nature within our country (FAA Modernization…
