An important aspect in everyday deliberation would to be able to recognize one’s ineptness, both intellectually and socially. The double curse basically indicates the opposite tendencies that humans possess. Firstly, their deficiency in a certain area will cause faults. Secondly, they are unable to complete the metacognitive task of identifying their faults that come from their lack of skills. People are driven to enhance and assess themselves (Duval and Silvia, 2002).
