Technology has indeed made tremendous impact to society as well as on the quantity and manner by which we communicate with each other. The ease of communication may have been improved, but our lives have become more impersonal as a result. The research was focused on the area of technology’s application on our lives and how it is affecting our interpersonal communication. But the question that pops out today is that our ever increasing dependency on machines or technology is actually hindering the human communication or not. Simple day to day tasks, that required human interactions earlier, are done today with a few push in the buttons of a machine. We understand that this has eased up the job but it is essential that sometimes we do these ourselves manually or in the flesh.
Our world has begun to revolve around technological goods and we are becoming so much tech-freak that our social communication has been seriously disturbed. The interpersonal communication which is essential for the growth of individuals in the society is not developing properly, particularly among the young generation (Chatterjee, Bhanot, Frank, Murphy, & Power, 2009).
