Court can really take up your day. When it was time for us to leave we had to ask permission from the Bailiff to approach the Judge and to thank her for having us today and she also reminded us to come back on Thursday at 9:30 am for other dependency court cases. Leaving room 822 and trying to get back down to floor number 3 I was shocked by how many BSO personnel I saw. I told myself “so this is where they all are.” In the courthouse. I saw so many men and women in uniform it was ridiculous, but we made it to the third floor and it was time to get out of the courthouse. For being there more than 6 hours, Ramona was only charged 10 dollars for parking, which I still thought was a lot, but it was a deal compared to all the hours that we were there. When we left court it was raining and the traffic was heavy. Thanks to Ramona’s helpful instructions I didn’t feel nervous. So I went to the jury duty parking garage and I parked on the third floor and walked the connecting bridge as if it was nothing. I also passed security and went to the cafeteria. This time Ramona was the one that was running behind, so I decided to get breakfast in the meantime. So when Ramona arrived around 8:20 am she took me to the North wing on the 6th floor. We were going to the Drug Court areas. The courtrooms for the drug courts are set up so differently and their smaller than I thought. But believe me that it takes an army to run everything inside every court room. Everything gets documented. While the judge has a case going on, other lawyers are doing their own things like preparing for the next cases. Nothing is standing still like I saw on television.
