Thus the choice of medium of communication selected by the manager is instrumental to this relationship building(Sheer and Chen, 2004). It is important to be receptive to both static (a person’s office, the furniture in the room, the person’s personal secretary) and dynamic cues (nodding, frowning, facial expression, body language) when one is trying to build a relationship with someone. Emails completely eliminate dynamic cues from a conversation, and minimize static cues. In various organizations, according to Siegel, Dubrovsky, Kiesler, and McGuire (1984), groups using emails showed antisocial behavior and took extreme decisions as compared to face to face communication. The success of various tasks depends a lot on how relationships are built, be it between different team or manager and subordinates. Trust can be only established when the two parties are clear about what they are saying to each other(Sheer and Chen, 2004). A personal interaction is likely to be better than using emails. (ii) Team cohesiveness
Another positive attribute in achieving organizational goals is Team cohesiveness. According to Jiang, Wright and Desanctis (2001), diversity in various teams specially, in culture and time adds to the effectiveness of the team.
