In my personal opinion, both Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson made very effective decisions that would shape our nation. At the top of the list would be Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt was brought into office unexpectedly after the death of William McKinley in 1901. He had a huge impact on our nation; he believed that the President had the right to use any and all powers unless they were specifically denied to him. Roosevelt significantly improved the power of the presidency. He did this mainly by taking the position that the president could workout any right not specifically denied by the Constitution.
