In life we have many choices, and the choices we make affect our everyday life. The decision to attend college is a big one in a person’s life. In today’s economy a high school diploma will not get a person a respected career. Many jobs require a minimum of an Associate’s Degree. So when a person is deciding on a college, many factors are involved: whether you are going to stay local, move away to attend college in another state, or which college offers the best program for your career choice. Also if you will be attending a two-year or four-year college, public or private, or a church affiliated college. The thing that most people do not think about all the time is what type of college they want to attend and how it is going to affect their lives after graduation. As Christians we believe there is a path that God has set for us, and it is up to us to follow that path and find our purpose in life. When a person decides to attend a Christian college they have chosen to integrate faith with education. They learn how they can spread God’s love and wisdom upon their everyday lives. As the scripture says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving" Col. 3:23-24. Take that and apply it to our education, we must work at it with all our heart, but do it while doing good work for the Lord. In Arthur F.
