They then turn those materials into food, drink, and other goods that they sell to the patrons. In order for Club IT to correct their need for a website to be set up to sell tickets to the special Friday and Saturday night concerts they should use a very good customer relationship software or (CRM). “Customer relationship management (CRM) is an enterprisewide effort to acquire and retain customers. CRM recognizes that customers are the core of a business and that a company’s success depends on effectively managing relationships with them” (Rainer & Turban, 2008, p. 239). This would make purchasing tickets available on-line. This would allow for quicker and a greater number of sales. Many people could be online at once to purchase tickets. Right now Club IT can only sell tickets by phone or in person. This is very time consuming for the customer. They either have to take the time and drive to Club IT to purchase the tickets or attempt to get through on the phone while Club IT is also trying to conduct their regular business. The second business problem that was recognized within Club IT is that they need to streamline their ordering process. They can accomplish this by using a supply chain management system. “The function of supply chain management (SCM) is to plan, organize, and optimize the supply chain’s activities” (Rainer & Turban, 2008, p. 242). Club IT can work to make their SCM a digital supply chain.
