There are a few songs on this album about non- American history. Attila, for example, is about Attila the hun and his reign of terror across Asia. These songs are also very good, especially the Bloody Baron/Blue Max song.

Alot of musician made songs in response 9/11. This one is one of my favorites, alongside Red, White, and Blue by Lynyrd Skynrd and Hole in the World by the Eagles.
Now for the masterpiece that is the Gettysburg trilogy. As stated above, I'm a huge Civil War buff thanks to my dad. This trilogy helped to fuel my constantly burning passion when I first discovered it over 5 years ago! It still gives me chills every time I play it. Each song covers a different day of the three day battle that occured on July 1st -3rd, 1863. Each song is told from a different viewpoint.
Day is from a neutral standpoint. Day 2 is from the perspective of union colonel, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, who was ordered to defend the Little Round Top(which was the left flank of the union army)at all costs from several attacks by the confederates. When his men eventually ran out of ammo, he ordered a downhill bayonet charge. That charge most likely saved the union army from defeat and maybe even losing the entire war.
