By stopping the Act before it was able to be passed creates a figurative field of acceptance that the Native Americans were allowed to stay in the West. A second alternative would have been for the Americans to share the land with the Natives and give them something in return. By sharing the land the Native Americans might have not felt the pressure to leave and might have been willing to share the land. The Native Americans were able to help the earlier Europeans with hunting, farming, and living off of the land, if the later Americans would have been willing to accept the Natives they could have learned these life-saving tricks. The Native Americans were failed to be treated like actual human being with rights, so if Americans would have acknowledged that then the history between the two parties would have had an alternative
