Have you ever noticed that Americans with disabilities have so much more benefits than people with disabilities anywhere else? Even a question like that is a little far-fetched. Americans with disabilities do not have the proper accommodations but that is definitely better than having no accommodations at all. People with disabilities in other countries believe it or not, have no accommodations whatsoever. I strongly believe that each country in the world should have their own disability act. I believe this because if everyone around the world were created equal, not just US citizens who are disabled should be accommodated, people who have different values and standards should not be denied the right, and every person should be able to reach their highest potential. Coming from a disabled American herself, I’m here to tell you that I think that the Americans with Disabilities Act should apply worldwide and you should too! All people in the world are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, therefore, I believe that everyone should be given an equal opportunity. One big problem with being treated unequally is isolating the disabled people from the rest of the world. It really doesn’t fix any issues. False assumptions about the disabled cause isolation to occur. If false assumptions are to play in any matter though, how can it ever be possible to attain equality?
