Presently, the diagnostic evaluation of young children for ASD is a highly important health issue for society, due to its high prevalence and implications for a child’s future. This essay will critically evaluate The Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and Early Intervention Behaviour Intervention (EIBI). The Preschool Autism Communication Trial (PACT) and the role of parents in early interventions will be investigated. The Applied Behaviour Analysis intervention will be compared and assessed with the EIBI. In conclusion, early interventions for ASD is beneficial for improving their cognitive and social development, and quality of life.
