L lied to her husband and was unfaithful add t that dis-honest, and in The Necklace Mathilde L. was dishonest to her friend and didn’t tell her what happened until the very end. These ladies had dreams like Lady Macbeth who dreamed to be queen, Mrs. L was desperate for real jewelry, and Mathilde L. dream was to live a luxuries life and they all got what they wanted but in evil ways they were all beautiful and had caring husbands. Lady Macbeth and Mathilde L. changed throughout the story to the end, Lady Macbeth changed her thinking and attitude toward guilt, Mathilde L. changed through the story first lying to hide her mistake and was unsatisfied but in the end she realized that her looks don't matter, both of them realized that what they did was wrong.
