There are different forms of the CBT approaches, such as in person with therapist, self-help with books, computer based self-administered therapy, via use of mobile phone or a combination with other approach. According to Williams et al. (2016), only 10-50% individuals receive treatment for depression. The WHO mental health Gap Action Program recommend CBT guided self-help approach along with traditional face-to face approach to gain access to psychological therapies to cover the gap (Williams et al. 2016). Combination of approaches and techniques such as CBT and AR can be helpful in reducing symptoms of GAD (Donegan & Dugas, n.d). The cognitive therapy focus on individual’s thinking patterns and beliefs while behavioral techniques like relaxation techniques is used to control the exposure of the thoughts that needs to be avoided to help individuals learn that their fears do not come true and it can be helpful in reducing anxiety (Donegan & Dugas, n.d).
