I most definitely agree with my results for plenty of reasons. ISFJ’s are characterized by their desire to serve others (ISFJ Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging, n.d.). The first-born child will live for a time in the household as an only child and have all the attention of the parents and not have to share anything from toys to affection with any other child or parent. It can be years before a second child comes along and the longer it takes for another child to come along the harder it can be for the first-born to learn to share the affection of the parents. When the second child comes along they must learn to deal with the fact that they are not the sole focus of the family and that parental attention is shared with another sibling. It is rather a rude awakening and can create tension and some independence. It can also make the older child strive to regain status. It is also possible that the child can be taught to be a helping and a nurturing sibling to the other child. The child may be developing the tantrums because of jealousy because of the second-born child. Letting the first-born help to take care of the second-born can give them a positive way to feel like they still belong. If the child coming into my office is the second-born child, he may be having some problems with rivalry and competition. He may be frustrated in having an older sibling in feeling that it is hard to compete with the first-born. If the child that comes to my office is the last-born they are usually more pampered than the other three. They usually remain forever the baby of the family. If there is an overabundance of sibling role models to the baby of the family this may lead the child to feel overly pressured to succeed in many areas and might the inability to do so might result in a lazy attitude (Friedman & Schustack,
