Myers-Briggs Typology Analysis

Through the taking of the Myers-Briggs typology test, the O-Net Career assessment, and the Spiritual Gifts Test, I was able to discover more about myself as well as learn exactly how I can use my gifts and personality to better serve Christ in ministry and throughout my life. The results of these three tests, my INTJ typology; my spiritual gifts of music, writing and celibacy; and the fact that I am more suited towards jobs involving arts and communications, can ultimately be utilized as tools of understanding as I continue to grow mentally and spiritually during this current phase of my life. According to the Myers-Briggs typology assessment, I am an INTJ type, one of the rarest and most strategically capable of the 16 different personality types. This type …show more content…
INTJs operate on vast ideas and exploration. Anything is possible, and everything is negotiable. Never does the sole question of “why?” cross the mind of an INTJ, but rather, the question “why not?” INTJs are generally perfectionists who are absolutely unsparing with themselves but may “slack” in areas they have no interest in. This weakness for me personally means I need to watch my grades carefully as they will always be inevitably lower in classes that I am taking that I just don’t like. It seems I have a distinct preference of introversion over extroversion. This means that when given the choice between working alone or with a group, I will always prefer working alone. In this same line of thinking, I may have difficulty in many social situations that are powered by small talk and flirtation, two aspects I have little patience for and in fact may find myself bored of. This does not mean I will not make an effort to interact with others, in fact a strong suit of INTJs is that if we are lacking in interpersonal relationships we will undoubtedly “work at” at relationship.
