Through the taking of the Myers-Briggs typology test, the O-Net Career assessment, and the Spiritual Gifts Test, I was able to discover more about myself as well as learn exactly how I can use my gifts and personality to better serve Christ in ministry and throughout my life. The results of these three tests, my INTJ typology; my spiritual gifts of music, writing and celibacy; and the fact that I am more suited towards jobs involving arts and communications, can ultimately be utilized as tools of understanding as I continue to grow mentally and spiritually during this current phase of my life. According to the Myers-Briggs typology assessment, I am an INTJ type, one of the rarest and most strategically capable of the 16 different personality types. This type …show more content…
INTJs operate on vast ideas and exploration. Anything is possible, and everything is negotiable. When stretching their comfort zone, it’s like writing with their nondominant hand. It’s tricky but doable.…

To me, this means that if my personality type fits my career choice, it will not fit perfectly, but if it does not, it is not as big of a deal. ENTJs are considered good leaders that worry more about getting things done, instead of worrying about the people they’re commanding. ENTPs (because I’m only J over P by 1%) are considered debaters. Per the Myers & Briggs Foundation, intuitives prefer to focus on abstractions or the aerial view of a topic before zeroing in on the details. Additionally, those noted for intuition tend to spend more time focusing on possibilities than realities (Myers & Briggs Foundation). I tend to walk away from experiences with a very clear perception of I was made to feel rather than the ins and outs of an exchange, in alignment with my intuitive nature. In my spare time, I find myself focusing on off-beat, little known theories and ideas some of which may or may not have a direct influence on my life.…

Throughout the course I learned about my personality and my strengths that I could use to my advantage for career options. The Type Coach Report diagnosed me as INFJ, an introvert-intuitive-feeler-judger, which ultimately meant that I am an idea generator. I have the tendency to find solutions that would create a positive impact on others for a long-term expectancy. The report mentioned that INFJ’s have “exceptional work ethic,” and I could not agree with a statement more. I have the mentality that hard work pays off which correlates with the Type Coach’s diagnosis for my strong work ethic.…
