You, the student body of Seneca, can relate to this quote through the story of the US Women’s National Soccer Team star, Carli Lloyd. Lloyd is the epitome of hard work and dedication. She, like you, didn’t start off as the person she is now. She was determined to better herself and achieve her most outlandish goals.

These three qualities are in all of us, but we choose whether or not to put them to good use. These traits can aid you in your journey to achieve greatness; whether your definition of greatness is becoming a professional athlete, becoming a famous author or getting accepted into your dream school. A man named Arthur Ashe encourages one to strive for greatness when he states,“Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can”(Ashe). Never doubt your abilities because you aren’t where you want to be right now. Success takes time, hard work and perseverance.
