Bucs Head Coach Analysis

With the Bucs season continuing on a disappointing spiral from week to week, it is no wonder that rumors are swirling around the water cooler about the job security of some key Buccaneer faculty. And if history plays a role in it, Bucs head coaches, with the exception of a few, rarely make it past the 2 year mark in their position; the longest running being John McKay from 76-84. So what does that mean for our current Head Coach, Koetter? Well, a lot actually, considering the season we have had thus far, as well as his 2 year mark getting a bit closer. Week after week he has said that he needs to coach better, he has shouldered responsibility for the majority of the issues taking place on the field. Is it all his fault? Absolutely not, this is a team after all, and a team needs to come together and do their part, but as a head coach, at the end of the day, the buck stops with him. He makes the calls. While his play calling has isn't always poor, let's try not to be too negative here, there is still a lot that he needs to work on. He knows this, but at some point he has to stop talking and start doing. But this is just speculation at this point, we still have a lot of season left to cover, and there's …show more content…
Another Bucs Report writer, Kyle Riddle, brought you 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' regarding Licht yesterday. So to try not to sound too repetitive I will just touch on the impact of his decisions this season, briefly. First, lets not forget that he has made some good decisions in terms of signing, however, the signings of D-Jac, Baker and Ward this season were supposed to be game changers, as they were dubbed our new "weapons", and while they have each made some big plays, they have not lived up to the expectations we had going into this season, and it has cost us. But as I said before, his departure is all speculation, and our season is far from

Tim McManus of ESPN believes that the hiring of Doug Pederson for the Eagles will help the players in the locker room and boost the overall morale of the team. Doug Pederson, a former temporary Quarterback for the Eagles and former assistant coach under Andy Reid, understands that a positive environment is a great first step for leading a team to success. Pederson is not a motivator unlike many other coaches, as he prefers to read from a script and chooses to be straightforward with his players since he was once a player himself. McManus first gives the reader a feeling for what it is like to be a new head coach in the NFL, as there is a great deal of scrutiny ahead as every interaction is closely observed. He then includes a quote from one of the…

In Mark Bradley’s “In year 7, what should we make of UGA’s Fox?,” (17 February 2016), Bradley claims that although Fox seems like he is coaching his players well enough to keep the job, overall it still seems he hasn’t won enough to create any sparks in the basketball program. Bradley suggests that Fox is a decent coach through facts such as, that his defenses are typically top 25 in the nation and that they have made the NCAA Tournament twice in his tenure, however he provides support that Georgia Basketball should be better with the recruit talents that exist here in Georgia. Bradley hopes to shift the way UGA basketball followers see the team, in order to raise their standards from believing in mediocrity to believing in superiority. The…

The essay “Power Plays” by Martha Burk’s is about the six ways in which men, who are at the elite corporate level, keep away women from achieving more power and occupations that men are able to have. One of the ways the power that men hold is by re-creating its image again. This way men hire those who would look and think like them. The second way is the enforcement of norms and systems that reassures there to be a continued power. The third way is the entitlement that the power men receive from being overvalued than women is created in the work area.…

The level of connection I have with the Seminoles football team is an attraction because it is my favorite team. With respect to hedonism, I am attracted to the Seminoles football team because it is fun to watch games, entertaining, and fun to talk about the team. I also get excited from watching several players on the team perform because I know they are some of the best players in the country at their particular positions. Nonetheless, with respect to the social situation, my level of attraction to the Seminoles football team is influenced by the stage of acceptance…

The Buccaneers haven’t exactly kept it a secret that they will spend a lot of time this season running a no-huddle, hurry-up offense. Second year quarterback Jameis Winston and the Bucs offense put together their best game of the preseason against the Cleveland Browns when Tampa ran out of the no-huddle every play the starters were on the field. Head coach Dirk Koetter surely couldn’t expect to use the hurry-up approach that much in a regular season game, could he? Winston and the offense have all said they would rather operate out of the no-huddle system.…

Clemson Tigers If you think Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney's Tigers are content with the top seed in this year's College Football Playoff, think again. Despite Clemson’s No. 1 ranking, the Tigers will enter Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. as the underdog to the 4th-ranked Sooners. With most of the hype surrounding Oklahoma, which in some circles has portrayed the Sooners as possibly this year's Ohio State Buckeyes (won National Championship last season), the Tigers should be fueled to earn the respect they inexplicably have yet to garner from naysayers. Oklahoma Sooners There will be no shortage of motivation for the Sooners, led by former walk-on quarterback Baker Mayfield.…
