The book I preferred was Bread and Roses because it was an easier book to read, The way The Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Women who started it is written made it hard to follow, The author sometimes made sudden jumps from speaking about the situation in Montgomery to what her opinion and what was happening to her. Plus, the excessive use of exclamations really made it difficult for me to follow. It felt like almost every single one of her opinions were put in exclamation marks. As far as what is going on in this country right now the book that best relates would be The Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Women who started it. The boycott for them was for better treatment on the bus can be connected to the Black lives matter movement for better treatment of blacks in the country.
