What is the American Dream? It has many different definitions to many different cultures,people, and even your family members. It has evolved over the decades constantly adapting to the world. This dream is what makes America so enticing and desirable. It has many different terms for success which makes it all the more available. But, unfortunately with the growing financial gap of the rich and poor the chances for success are very slim. Mr.Spruill has had the ability to fulfill his dream ,and has become a successful career as a pharmaceutical representative. His story is not like many but his journey is very interesting.
On May 7,1963 Bill Spruill was born in New Haven,Connecticut to William and Edith Spruill. Growing up he was supported by a cast of people from all walks of life using their experiences and ways of approaching obstacles. Mr.Spruill agrees with my rule of thinking that the American Dream is multiple aspects when he said “My vision of the American dream is having the opportunity to create an environment that is enriching for your family, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, socially and financially. Achieving this goal is an ongoing process, but by the aforementioned definition I have made significant progress. My family and I have a great life with wonderful family and friends, my daughters are pursuing the academic dreams and we have established some degree of financial independence.” This quotations is the base of Mr.Spruills faith and what he believes is the right thing to do.
