Summary: The Baptist Faith and Message is bible study containing the various articles of belief of Southern Baptists. This book is great for helping young people like myself who aren’t familiar with the common beliefs amongst Southern Baptists. Article one in the Baptist Faith and Message is Scripture. Baptists believe that Scripture is the inerrant Word of God and it is the divinely inspired Word of God. Scripture in its entirety has everything to lead a Christian to walk a life with God.
Southern Baptists also believe in the triune God, meaning that God is three people but still one God. God is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present. God the Son came into the world by divine incarnation being born of a virgin. He was both God and man. Jesus Christ came to die as the atoning sacrifice for mankind that anyone who places their faith in Him, would be forgiven of their sins and saved from eternal condemnation.
Article 4 is the matter of salvation. Southern Baptists believe there are four steps in the process of salvation. There is regeneration, where the believer is born again after confessing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Justification is the gracious, full acquittal of sinners of their …show more content…
As far as time I concerned I have decided to get rid of my Netflix account so that my time wouldn’t be wasted, but rather will be used for something godly. As I do my best to save money for a new car, I am reminded that it is important for me to give a tithe back to God. If I need a new car bad enough, God will provide a way. The study of stewardship is also a great reminder to hold onto things loosely. If someone needs to borrow your car, let them borrow it. Everything we have been given is to used to build up the church or others all for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus
