His child asks his dad if he could go and get a lot of candy. All parents teach their children in a different manner. Permissive parenting is where the parent has no demands set up for their child, therefore having few guidelines and rules. Having no rules and regulations, similarly to the neglectful parenting style, makes it hard for the child to get accustomed to society because they are use to having everything they have ever owned given to them. The permissive parenting style tends to have few rules or standards of behavior and when they do have rules, they are not consistent, so nice to the point where the parent seems like a friend than an authoritative figure. A child that was raised in a permissive style of parenting would more than likely lack self-discipline because the permissive parent tend to not be accustomed to consistent rules. The permissive parents also seem to be loving and nurturing towards their child because they are very friendly and tend to refuse to punish their child and give their child anything they ask for.
