Authoritative And Permissive Parenting Styles
The household of a house of two. The mother, drunk and sober, letting her son go as he pleases. The parking lot at Wal-Mart. He and his child were heading to the car to leave. His child asks his dad if he could go and get a lot of candy. All parents teach their children in a different manner. The main different types of parenting styles are authoritative, neglectful, and permissive.

Permissive parenting is where the parent has no demands set up for their child, therefore having few guidelines and rules. Having no rules and regulations, similarly to the neglectful parenting style, makes it hard for the child to get accustomed to society because they are use to having everything they have ever owned given to them. The permissive parenting style tends to have few rules or standards of behavior and when they do have rules, they are not consistent, so nice to the point where the parent seems like a friend than an authoritative figure. A child that was raised in a permissive style of parenting would more than likely lack self-discipline because the permissive parent tend to not be accustomed to consistent rules. A child taught under the permissive style tend to feel insecure due to the lack of boundaries and guidance and sometimes will have a lack of social skills. (Are You A Permissive Parent?) The permissive parents also seem to be loving and nurturing towards their child because they are very friendly and tend to refuse to punish their child and give their child anything they ask for.
