This theory introduces the idea that the director is the primary creative force in the production of a film and as a result the film is a representation of their artistic vision although this approach to project management and development was originally created for film, it can also be applied to video game development as many aspects of game development mirror that of film. However, just because this article focuses on the primary approach to development for each region that does not meant that every game from that region is developed in that specific way. Naturally this is due to the simple fact that there are some games from both regions that are developed using the other philosophy of design which is slowly becoming the norm.
