Art As A Technical, Historical, And Aesthetic Foundation For The Development Of My Style

I think there is a need of a technical, historical, and aesthetic foundation for the development of my style because it gives you the knowledge of the art. By knowing where and how these foundation came to be about, it allows you to explore and be knowledgeable of different styles. The historical foundation tells people about the past history and different cultures. My prefer art styles are realism, abstract, impressionism, post-impressionism, and pointillism. I like artworks that makes you think and have emotions such as abstract and landscapes. My types of art are landscapes, seascapes, flowers, and self-portraits. I have taken Fine Arts and learned a history about art in that class. I learned about how the meaning of the word art depends on each individual’s perspective. What other people consider art is different from what I consider art. I think art is taking the time and effort to create something original. In that class, I have also learned the art movements such as the Renaissance movement. Through the Fine Arts Visual class, I have discovered my dislikes and likes of styles. My predispositions of the media are acrylic paint, oil paint, oil pastels, graphite, and charcoal. My predisposition for historical styles are Renaissance art, Art Nouveau, Realism, Post-Impressionismand Rococo ("Art History Style Periods.").
