The benefits of fat cells being converted into stem cells

Scientists frequently talk about the latest and greatest use got stem cells but they are now developing a technique that can repair and heal tissue that has been damaged. They have figured out that this is possible through converting fat cells into stem cells. What is normal for stem cells is that it is injected into the bone marrow. Stem cells are somewhat easy source but for the stem cells to help to repair tissue, muscles, and organs. Researchers say that these stem cells can help cure carnivorous dieses. Stem cells also play a big role in plastic surgery. What exactly is a stem cell? Well a stem cell is an undifferentiated cell of a multicellular organism that is capable of giving rise

Adult stem cells can be taken from 3 different sources: bone marrow, adipose tissue, and blood. Stem cell research is a huge debate topic not only for its potential uses but the issues that go along with it. Many believe it to be wrong to use an unborn fetus for scientific purposes, but most do not realize that this is not the only source of stem cells we can access. Animals' cells can be used, even adults still carry some stem cells. This stem cell research could open the door to curing nearly every disease, even regrowing human limbs. While these are all things that would take many years to achieve, the things we can do with stem cells now could still help save as many lives. The benefits of using these are that people who have diseases their symptoms lower and are able to not have to take the antibiotics for their diseases. There have been numerous accounts of these stem cells actually working like people who have had pain in areas that doctor's said would last forever because of nerve damage but after the stem cell treatment their pain was reduced significantly. Scientists at UCLA have found out that the fat from liposuction is more valuable than they thought.

Since stem cells can produce new tissues they could help in treating terminal illnesses such as cancer. A new tissue could be grown to replace the cancerous tissue. Adult stem cells and umbilical cord stem cells deal with this problem because adult stem cells are found in adult organs and tissue mostly bone marrow and umbilical cord stem cells are stem cells collected from the umbilical cord of a baby after delivery. Stem cell research can cure diseases that were once incurable can be done using stem cells. Its safer to use organs grown using stem cells during organ transplants because there are no risks of the body rejecting it.…

Embryonic stem cell research is incredible! It’s so beneficial for our health, but the prices we have to pay for it are….not so incredible, but they aren’t horrible. Personally, I want to fund it, but I don’t cause it’s like, you’re killing things (not babies yet) and technically they’re not alive yet, but you’re saving actual people’s lives. I understand the whole religious thing, but if whoever you believe in didn’t want you didn’t want people to invent stem cell research, then why did they allow it? I’m a Christian and I believe that whatever happens is by the will of God.…

In addition to treating diseases, it also helps with research in genetics and opens up a more broad understanding of it allowing us to genetically modify later generations. Stem cells and certain areas of genetics go hand in hand, such as the creation of designer babies ( Babies that have been genetically modified to show specific traits that are wanted ), therapeutical pluripotent cell clones ( Cloning specifically for making more pluripotent cells for treatments ) , and reproductive clones ( Cloning using a created embryo and put into a surrogate mother ) , which are all still in development, but if perfected can essentially, get rid of disease and provide people with as many transplants needed in the not so distant…

The medical field is constantly growing and growing, discovering new diseases and cures that bring us one step further to understanding the world around us. However, one medical discovery has been hailed as “miraculous” and “a long needed breakthrough.” This medical discovery is better known as stem cell research, more specifically, the study of stem cells for medical applications. Stem cells are a special category of cells that are able to differentiate into specialized cell types, but also retain the ability to renew themselves through cell division. However, most of the controversy surrounding stem cell research is based on where stem cells are derived from.…

Should the Federal Government Fund the Research of Embryonic Stem Cells Every day, people are diagnosed with life-threatening diseases like Alzheimer 's, Parkinson 's, and cancer, their cells are literally fighting against themselves. One way this can be corrected is with the use of stem cells. Stem cells are an undifferentiated cell of a multicellular organism that is capable of developing into an indefinite amount of cells of the same type. There are two prominent types of stem cells, embryonic and adult stem cells. Adult stem cells are found in adults, children, babies, placentas, cadavers, and umbilical cords and can be extracted without any harm to the individual.…

Stem Cells One of the biggest ethical and scientific debates in the scientific communities involves Stem Cell research. Stem cells are cells with the ability to develop into different types of cells in the body. They can serve as a type of internal repair system for the body. They are distinguished from other cells because they are unspecialized and are capable of renewing themselves through cell division.…

Stem cells are cells that have the ability to self-renew and differentiate to become a myriad of different cell types. They serve as an internal repair system, with the purpose of replenishing or damaged cells. They can be found in various microenvironments within the tissues called stem cell niches cells, some examples of these include include the brain, bone marrow, blood vessels, skin, teeth, heart, amniotic fluid, umbilical cord, etc. Typically, there are only a small number of stem cells in each tissue, and once they are removed their ability to divide and regenerate are limited. Stem cells, biologically, can constantly generate unaltered daughters, as well as have the ability to generate daughter cells will different and more restricted…

Science and medicine go hand in hand, especially as it works with genes and DNA. Research and study of genetics has uncovered some underlying disorders that can now be treated because of science. Stem cells have been known to have multiple benefits when it comes to medicine. This research has not only generated treatments for health issues such as medicines, but also allows reconstruction of cells or tissues that need repair. The NIH Stem Cell Information Center stated, “Stem cells, directed to differentiate into specific cell types, offer the possibility of a renewable source of replacement cells and tissues to treat diseases including macular degeneration, spinal cord injury, stroke, burns, heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.”…
