One of the most important laws that protects them is the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which states that it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, and sex (EEOC). As a result of this law, an employer needs to be conscious of the protections given to Arab Americans by the law. Specifically, that Arab Americans are given equal opportunity in the workplace and that all forms of discrimination are put to a stop immediately. If the law is not followed then a company can be sued by an Arab American who has been discriminated against. All employees should be mindful of how they hire, treat, and work with Arab Americans in the workplace. In conclusion, this law serves to protect all groups in the workplace that are from another Arab country, or part of the Arab race, or practice Islam or another religion. Therefore, discrimination is not acceptable under any circumstances in the workplace. Likewise, a company should work to educate employees regarding these issues to ensure that the workplace is a safe environment for Arab
