Animal agriculture is animal farming or livestock production. This is a main cause of global warming. Over growing of land causes deforestation, the land is used for expansion of growing crops. Animal agriculture is responsible for 9% of the carbon dioxide exposure. Cows produce a lot of methane this is at least 20% more stronger than carbon dioxide. These greenhouse gases are extremely harmful for our environment. Manure is also a bad nitrous oxide that is exposed to the atmosphere.
Did you know that producing beef is way more harmful than producing any other type of meat ? Beef requires a lot of resources to make. Beef …show more content…
Beef could be considered an inefficient food. It takes a lot for you to feed a cow food so they gain more weight that's why turning to vegetables can be another option for keeping this world healthy. You have to produce more land, water and crops to feed a cow. When animals use the bathroom or belch or fart this is releasing a large amount of greenhouse gas into the air. Instead of humans using the crops as food they are instead being ate by animals. This is wasting a lot of resources such as land, water, etc. Although producing beef is harmful for the planet it gives a lot of protein to humans. But beef is also responsible for calorie intake. You need about 15,000 liters of water to produce a kilo of beef and certain beef can make humans sick due to the animal carrying a disease. About 60% of disease are shared with humans and animals. Most diseases are found and spread through animals. Reduction of beef is not going to occur soon or maybe never but a great portion of the world has a low rate of eating meat. Asia and Africa mainly eat grain and wheat but a larger proportion of the world needs to rely more on eating grains, wheat etc. Another way we can reduce the harmful production of meat is feeding cows differently. All this negative effect over eating and producing beef ?
There can be a lot of changes made to prevent global warming and reduce the amount greenhouse gases being emitted into the
