Analysis Of Charles M. Blow's Article Sexual Fluidity And Attraction
Sexual fluidity and attraction is a hard subject to touch on. This idea is very new in the grand scheme of things. So since it is such a new idea, people don’t really know where to fall with this new idea. There are so many little niches for all different types of people. The people who this article is about also come from all walks of life. So to say it simply people are confused on what to say to people of this ideology, and on how to react to this conversation of sexual fluidity.
Charles M. Blow in his article Sexual Fluidity and Attraction does a good job of showing the inside look at this discussion. Mr. Blow himself is bisexual. Stating in the article,

I found of two major opinions in the comments. It was either a comment supporting Mr. Blow, and his opinion on the topic. Some comments written like S. Casey from Seattle, “Thanks, Charles, for sharing this! You are part of the change...Best wishes.”, which was nice to show support for the LGBTQ community. I also saw longer comments backing Mr. Blows thoughts in a more anecdotal sense. Jim Dwyer from Arizona comments, “As Grandpa used to say: Humans are born along a linear surface that stretches from horizon to horizon. Most are born closer to the middle of the line and are neither all male nor all female. And some cross the mid-point of this human linear surface and become sexually whatever happens. In fact if humans ever get a reliable count of how many people are gay or straight, we may discover that being straight is in the minority. Thanks, Grandpa.” I believe this was a good comment, because it did a good job of seeing blows message in a tight package. There were many comments off this going into the idea that this idea has been around for a long time. Which all stimulated good conversation on the side of Mr. Blow. Although not every comment was pro Mr. Blow, but oddly enough no comment contradicted blow either. For context in the beginning of Mr. Blow’s article he quotes Miley Cyrus saying, ““I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that’s legal, I’m down with. Yo, I’m down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me.” This drove mass hysteria is the comment section that was technically anti Mr. Blow. I saw many comments saying that Miley was a poor choice for the voice for the LGBTQ
