One of the things that I think I would add to create an interactive environment to the learners is to give to the student one magazine and look for a picture. After the student finds the appropriate and most interesting picture, they are going to create a couple of questions using ser and estar. After the student finishes with the question, the student is going to interact with the rest of the class, and ask the questions to different students. To make sure they are doing the assignment appropriately, each student that provides an answer is going put their name on one side of the question. By this I would create an interesting and interactive environment to the classroom, at the same time, the questions and the answer would not be…

Trends and Benchmarks: Whitehorse is in “school improvement,” the benchmark is the center of everything, how they get measured, and seeing where kids are at, three times a year. The school is very transparent with all their data, students are constantly seeing the data and scores. In Tinkering toward Utopia (1995), Tyack and Cuban correctly argue that the fundamental nature of public schooling has not changed in the 20th century. The way schooling is organized, or the “grammar” of public schools, is relatively the same as when our parents and grandparents attended. The subjects studied, appearance of the buildings, start and end times, organization of leadership and staff, and length of the classes remains essentially unchanged. (Tyack and Cuban, 1995, p. 85) Tyack and Cuban describe the reforms that created this “real schooling”, and analyze why they stayed and became part of our culture, while so many others did not.…

For thousands of years two main sources of knowledge and influence dominated classroom learning - the teacher and the textbook, but in today’s world of unprecedented technological advancement, the Internet is a powerful tool in the classroom. (Loyola 2014) The research on the impacts of technology implemented into elementary school classrooms is limited, mostly anecdotal, leaving the question of whether the impact is more largely positive or negative unanswered and the subject of much speculation. Digital technology can be used to make learning more practical. Computer technology can empower students and create a more tailored learning experience.…

Students’ education has changed over the years and the reason for it is technology. For hundreds of years teachers have used books, paper, and pencils to teach their students, but for the last few years technology has become part of everyone’s life in one way or another. Students and teachers are getting their technology through the classroom and it has impacted student learning. Technology has positively impacted student learning because they have more motivation, self-esteem, are completing complex tasks and help others more, while it has the negative impact of poor work and shorter attention span to tasks. One way is that technology has increased students’ motivation to learn and their self-esteem in what they learned.…

After interviewing my friend’s sister Shannon O’Donnell, who is a 7th and 8th grade Living Environment to inclusive classes in an inner-city Westchester school which is in the third year of state receivership. The most important advice I acquired from the interview was that as a teacher, I should be patient and flexible to adapt to every one of the students to meet their individual needs. I learned from my interview that students she works with are Hispanic and either immigrants or first-generation in Americans to go to school and get education they need. She said, “If education is not a priority, which unfortunately for many of the culture she teaches it is not, she have to show the students that only way they can improve their situation is…
