The Age of Exploration contributed to many negative factors from the 15th to 17th century. The Aztecs, Inca and Maya faced many conflicts from the actions of Hernando Còrtes. The trade of slavery grew rapidly and slaves were treated poorly. Another negative result is that the Native Americans suffered abusively under the control of Christopher Columbus and other explorers. As a result, the age of exploration lead to many downfalls in history that cannot be innovated. The Aztecs, Inca and Maya did have many hardships and collision when the Spanish explorers arrived. During the Age of Exploration, South America faced many troubles. The Aztecs, Maya, and Incas were civilizations that took part during this time period. These troubles became serious when Spanish explorers arrived in the 16th century. One military leader named Hernan Cortes arrived there along with many soldiers. They tried to weaken the Aztecs by fighting with their enemies. After the Aztecs Empire has declined, Hernan took over Mexico. On the other hand, the Inca population was declining because the people had contact with European diseases. Owning a slave was very important during the 16th and 18th century because many slaves were being sold. This was a negative impact to the society because the slaves were treated as servants and had no rights. They had to work hard in the fields and were separated from their families. Also many were shipped to America because they were needed to work on the sugarcane fields. Many slaves have died from diseases because they were wide spread. They lived in horrible condition and some would rather die. This showed that slavery was a bad idea and not everybody agreed to this.
