African Americans have faced multiple challenges throughout American history. African American hold a classification at the bottom of American; furthermore, African American has inherited poor educational tools, jobs with poor salaries and or no health insurance benefits. African American are working without health insurance benefits, and or working with health insurance benefits with low-income salaries. Many African American are uneducated therefore making them unqualified for the white collar nine to five job with the great health insurance. With the new health care insurance that the government offer today, the average African American family cannot afford the monthly payment to keep the health care insurance offered by the government. Furthermore, African American are confronted by choose between paying the rent and or playing for health care. With 14.6% of African American having poor health due to lack of health care insurance, African American are dying from heart disease, cancer, strokes, and sexually transmitted diseases. The educational gap that African American student’s face with the lack of schoolbooks, supplies, qualified teachers, staff member, and outdated books has to change. If African American are to be successful adult in their community, the government need to restore schools in the urban community with more updated school supplies and not just focus in the suburban school, all kids are equal. Jobs and health care is a major setback in the urban community, therefore without work, healthcare the African American man/woman may become ill with something that doctors can treat with simple meds.
