The Have and Have Not

African Americans have faced multiple challenges throughout American history. African American hold a classification at the bottom of American; furthermore, African American has inherited poor educational tools, jobs with poor salaries and or no health insurance benefits. With African American being wrongly racially profiled on a daily basis, along with other setback are producing a new set of challenges for African American in the twenty-first century. Although African American have overcome an abundance of past challenges that would cripple a man/woman of a different race. The school building are dark, and lack the normal day-to-day supplies for teachers to teach the students. Urban school districts are being feed outdated books or lack off, a large number of students in the urban community do not have the material needed to learn effectively in today standards. Therefore, if the African American student does not have the tools to be a successful student in school, how can he/she become a successful adult in their community and provide for his/ her family. The (national center for education statistics) concluded that African American students who live in a low-income or poverty community has a lesser chance of finishing high school. The graduation rate for urban school districts are 52% and suburban school districts are 75% there is something wrong in the African American …show more content…
Driving while black will have the police following, looking for anything to pull over the African American man/woman. Walking into a store will have the storeowner looking at the African American as if he/she wants to steal something from the store. Going to a job interview and not getting the job because he/she meet the qualification of the job but African American so he/she do not get the job. African American where pulled over by the police more often than white American being searched for drugs and weapons on their person and in the car. (Civilrights.org) concluded that African American had a pullover, and arrested rate of 55.8% and were giving a ticket over white American having a pullover and arrest rate of
