Three advantages of the assimilation were the increase of student’s rate of ethnic backgrounds, end the cultural genocide of American Indians, and prevent the violence of the Natives. The rates of students with ethnic backgrounds increased with assimilation. People from the Native were gathered together. They formulated a policy to encourage the "civilizing" process. Which increased loads of immigration from the western. They endure growing public support for education to encourage a standard set of cultural values and practices in common by the Americans. To the Native this was a drastic situation. The Native had their own language unlike the language used in America. The Americans did not accept their language therefor, the Native had to learn American language or they would be physically hurt. Children were beaten, malnourished and forced to do heavy labor. The native also had a specific way of dressing. Their loose-fitting clothing and moccasins were taken away. Not only their clothes, but they need to change their hair style. Basically the Americans continued changing the Natives in several ways. The Natives couldn’t practice their culture. They needed to learn how to be Christians. This ensure a terrible way of trying to change Natives to Americans. It produced the Americans upset and angry because Americans wanted to change their way of life as they knew it.
