Adolescent internet gaming addiction is one problem and most critical issues facing our youth both in and outside the United States of America. With adolescent’s this can become a real life serious issue and if not caught during the early stages, parents are known to find their adolescent children experiencing social isolation among other things such as substance abuse. Adolescents can become very argumentative which leads to anger and frustration, the quality of education and healthy relationships with their peers can be affected and internet gaming for adolescents can become time consuming. They conducted a cross-sectional, descriptive study and used 328 adolescents who were enrolled in high school from the Aegean, Turkey region. The methods utilized consist of gathering sociodemographic information with a questionnaire. The tools used were the “Internet Addiction Scale and the Adjective Based Personality Scale”. Similar to Przepiorka & Blachnio, 2016 this group of researchers also used the “T tests for logic and regression using SPSS software”. This study sampled both girls and boys and found a huge difference in the amount of time spent online, with the girls having over a 40% chance of taking a risk using the internet when their parents told them to not get on the internet. Both boys and girls showed an equal score in being openness to experience the use of the internet in the first place and overall, both boys and girls were found to be a high risk of internet addiction (Ozturk, Bektas, Ayar, Oztornacı, & Yagcı, 2015). Psychological immaturity could have been further explored to prove internet addiction.
