They conducted a cross-sectional, descriptive study and used 328 adolescents who were enrolled in high school from the Aegean, Turkey region. The methods utilized consist of gathering sociodemographic information with a questionnaire. The tools used were the “Internet Addiction Scale and the Adjective Based Personality Scale”. Similar to Przepiorka & Blachnio, 2016 this group of researchers also used the “T tests for logic and regression using SPSS software”. This study sampled both girls and boys and found a huge difference in the amount of time spent online, with the girls having over a 40% chance of taking a risk using the internet when their parents told them to not get on the internet. Both boys and girls showed an equal score in being openness to experience the use of the internet in the first place and overall, both boys and girls were found to be a high risk of internet addiction (Ozturk, Bektas, Ayar, Oztornacı, & Yagcı, 2015).
