Bush’s presidency, he sought for his policy towards Israel to protect them no matter what. His first move was to work with Israel and to persuade them towards his ideas in fear of Israel causing another war. During the first Gulf war, Gorge H.W. Bush worked to persuade the government of Israel to stay of the war. He knew that if the country of Israel got involved they would start and war with Iraq. If this even occurred George H.W. Bush feared that his administration would have no choice, but to cut ties with Israel and to work on fixing the tension that Israel started once again. Bush, or George Bush Senior, had to deal with another policy agenda in fear of losing Israel. He had to stop the spread of Zionism to prevent Israel from being taken over this movement.
