Shimon Peres

Peres was involved in his country’s conflict from a very young age. Shimon Peres is an Israeli-Sided peace maker, however his views on the way to deal with the Palestinian - Israeli conflict has not always been the same throughout his years. Peres began as a Warhawk, but eventually became a man of peace, or a Dove.

Shimon Peres was originally a Warhawk, seeking war to try and end the conflict between the Arabs and Israelis. Peres began his contribution to the conflict in 1952 when he was appointed the Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Defense and shortly later became the Director General. Peres helped organize the Suez Crisis, including a trip to France about an offer to purchase weapons from the French for Israel.
