9/11 Terrorism Research Paper

What is a terrorist? Here in America the first thing we will think about is 9/11; having some crazy foreign guy come and bomb us. What people don't usually realize is that a terrorist could come from your own country. Merriam Webster defines terrorism as a person who uses fear to try and achieve a political goal. In America this isn't that common, but in the Middle East it has become a part of daily life. Tension in the Middle East has always been present. However, it is recently the conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis have been intense. Their conflict goes back far, constantly fighting over the land. But, it was at the end of World War Two where it has started again. As of now, it seems as though the two of them will never get along. They have a lot of hate toward each other …show more content…
When they do this, more Palestinians get forced out of their own home to make way for the Israelis. The main problem is whenever an agreement is tried to be made, extremism on either side make that impossible. Because why would either side want to make a settlement when there are innocents being killed due to the actions of the other side. The extremist engages in horrible acts of terrorism to express their hatred and try and achieve a political change. These acts of terrorism occur with both the Israelis and the Palestinians. Each time they attack each other it just added more fuel to the situation. The Israeli government does not condone this act of violence. Yet, at the same time they have done little to nothing to stop it. Other countries have tried to jump in and fix the problem, such as the British and the United States, but their efforts have done little. There is no shaking sense into people who a driven with such hatred toward each other. The only way to reach peace would be for them both to give in a little. Nevertheless neither side seems at all ready to do such a
