Students are required to perform the role as a consultant, retained by Metro 's management company. The company provides experienced supervisors that build performance review and information management system. As the consultant five conflict documents will be assessed, identify for negotiated strategies, mediation plans, trade-offs and risk analysis in the mediation/resolution process recommendations and arbitration.

Positives for resolution: Mr. James Baker worked for Metro. He was treated well, received effective supervisory training, and possess company loyalty.
Negatives for resolution: Mr. James Baker approached Metro and submitted several time a proposal regarding profit sharing benefits for the employee, because contribute were 30% of the profit after the taxes.
In favor of the management group: Metro pays the employee well and offer great benefit packages; in addition to a 401k after working with the company for five years.
Favor of the employee group: Employees attempted to communicate with owners regarding their concerns, the owner did not contact the employee and no response was provided; in addition, there were no employee/owners meeting for three years.
Contention related to the positives and negatives: Mr. Baker requested a bonus for his work, his bonus was refused, and he became irate.

During mediation phase, the consultant, management and employees decided to work without legal involvement. The results of the conflict agreement was: the policy for temp employees will be revised in six month, if the company gross profit is 50% or more a profit sharing bonus would be offer to employees with more than one year of employment. In addition, a weekly meeting for department managers will be implemented and monthly meeting for all employees will be put into action.
