Since the main reason people are quitting from MedEX is related to transportation, there are several options that Harry Davis should take into consideration in order to avoid turnovers, for example, provide transportation to employees so they do not have to pay for parking, offer a 4 days and 10 hours shift, or 3 days and 12 hours shift, and last but not least, telecommuting. Transportation could play a significant role in this regards because employees have expressed their frustration about paying a high cost for parking in downtown. Depending on which days of the week are the busiest, Harry can work out what days of the week they should work and what days they can be out. This option offers 4 days off, in other words, there are 2 days fewer to come to work and 2 days more to take care of personal responsibilities (Martocchio, 2013).
Telecommuting could be the best option for MedEx because of the flexibility and because the company does not have to incur other expenses like transportation. However, regardless of the employees decide to telecommute; they still have the responsibility to report to work at least once a week which is feasible considering that they would no longer have to do it 5 days a week. Employees can balance their work and personal responsibilities and decrease their stress levels (Martocchio,
