Production tip 1a- want it fast, cheap and good? |
Want it fast cheap and good? Well pick any 2. The ideal is to have enough time and money to make a good production but in reality this rarely happens. Its hard to get all 3 but be aware of which element you aren't engaging. |

The script |
The script is the blueprint for your production. You'll be writing it at the same time as you're collecting other elements for the program. Different types of scripts have different types of content but all mostly have a beginning middle and end. |

Templates |
Standard forms for scripts. Differ from 1 facility to the next but usually include slugs, the date, length and names of the main people who work with the story to air it. They're usually set up in a way that makes it easy for the writer to keep track of time. |

Rundown sheet |
Lists items in the order they're supposed to occur & gives an appropriate timing for them. Talk/variety show where some things are scripted and others are spontaneous might use this. |

Two column script |
1 column for audio and the other for the video to be shown at the same time as the audio. |

What makes a voice good? |
They're lower in the pitch range, full & reasonant, the person speaks at a pace in which you can understand them and the voice has great clarity (good articulation). |
